Breakfast - breakfast sandwiches, tartines, pastries. All good!

Petra Mediterranean Pizza and Grill

1210 Higuera St, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401

Lunch - really good Mediterranean food and pizza. Their unique pizza varieties—from the Tri-Tip to the Greek Feta pizza—are delicious. Their gyro plates and kebabs are pretty amazing too.

Lincoln Market & Deli*

496 Broad St, San Luis Obispo, CA 93405

Lunch - my personal favorite sandwich shop

High Street | Market & Deli

350 High Street, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401
, (805) 541-4738

Lunch - the most famous sandwich spot in SLO. Half off sandwiches at 4:20pm. Known for piling their sandwiches super high. (I personally still like Lincoln Deli better though.)

Firestone Grill*

1001 Higuera St, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401

Lunch/Dinner - One of the most popular places in SLO. Super affordable. Known for their BBQ, fries, and tri-tip sandwiches. Don't let the line scare you, it moves really fast.

Old Slo BBQ Co.

670 Higuera Street, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401
, (805) 285-2473

Lunch - Firestone Grill gets crowded, so if you want a more calm place, this has just as good BBQ.

Taqueria Santa Cruz Express*

1308 Monterey St, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401

Lunch/Dinner - my absolute favorite place in SLO. Went here at least twice a week in college. I get the Super Shrimp burrito and Stephan gets the California burrito.

Novo Restaurant & Lounge** [R]

726 Higuera St, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401

Dinner - My mom and I come here every time we go to SLO. Try to book reservations in advanced as it's popular. Great ambiance on the back patio. Corkage is complimentary here for one bottle per bottle purchased from the wine list.

Goshi | Japanese Restaurant [R]

570 Higuera St #155, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401

Lunch/Dinner - Best sushi in SLO. A little pricier, but worth it.

Yanagi Sushi

1203 Marsh St, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401

Lunch/Dinner - 2nd best sushi spot in SLO. Cheaper than Goshi

Ciopinot Seafood Grille [R]

1049 Nipomo St, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401

Dinner - great seafood & cocktails. More pricey, but worth it if you're looking to eat at a nice place.

Blast 825 Taproom*

733 Higuera Street, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401
, (805) 783-1111

Lunch/Dinner/Drinks - If you want to walk around a room and sample dozens of craft beers by taping a bracelet and eat delicious pizza, this is your place. It's very fun!

1865 Craft House & Kitchen

1865 Monterey Street, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401
, (805) 439-3739

Lunch/Dinner - If you're looking for a good burger. salad, sandwich, truffle garlic fries, etc., this place is new to SLO and popular.

Giuseppe's Cucina Rustica* [R]

849 Monterey Street, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401
, (805) 541-9922

Dinner - probably best Italian spot in SLO. Everyone loves Giuseppe's!

Mama's Meatball [R]

570 Higuera Street, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401
, (805) 544-0861

Dinner - Italian food. It's very small on the inside so I would book a reservation in advanced. No corkage fee on your first bottle of wine (at least that's what they used to do!)

Alex Madonna’s Gold Rush Steak House [R]

100 Madonna Road, San Luis Obispo, CA 93405
, (805) 543-3000

Dinner - While I've personally never eaten here, this place is very famous. People travel to SLO just to stay and dine at this hotel. Best known for their steaks and cakes.

Batch

1108 Broad St, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401

Ice Cream Sandwiches with fresh, hot cookies. Can't go wrong.
