Rocky Mountain National Park

Rocky Mountain National Park

CO

It will be cold and windy! You can drive and tour the park or snowshoe/hike with spikes! Some favorite areas of ours is Moraine Park, Bear Lake, and soaking in the views on Trail Ridge Road*. * In the winter, you cannot drive all the way. It is closed at Many Parks Curve.

The Stanley Hotel is a historic hotel build by F.O. Stanley. In the 1970s, it gained literary fame when Stephen King stayed there and was inspired to write The Shining. You can join the Historic Day Tour to explore the architecture, learn about the hotel’s history and folklore, and hear stories about its connection to The Shining or you can also take ghost or night tours, visit the Stanley Home Museum to see where F.O. and Flora Stanley lived, enjoy fine dining or taste some of the 1,200 whiskey brands in the whiskey bar!

Avant Garde Aleworks

Avant Garde Aleworks

920 Dunraven Street, Estes Park, CO 80517

We tried to come here for our first date, but it was closed for a private event. We have since enjoyed happy hours, date nights, and celebrations here! They have a good variety of beers, some kombuchas, frozen cokes, and soft pretzel snacks!

The Rock Inn Mountain Tavern

The Rock Inn Mountain Tavern

1675 Colorado 66, Estes Park, CO 80517

This is one of our favorite spots for dinner or happy hour. It has great mountain vibes, friendly staff, and delicious foods. Some of our favorites: Old Fashion Cocktail, Smoked Elk Sausage appetizer, Chicken Caeser Salad, Chicken Flat Bread (parkie style--adds bacon and banana peppers), Beef Stroganoff, and Pasta Calypso are a few of our favorites!

The Bull Pin

The Bull Pin

555 South Saint Vrain Avenue, Estes Park, CO 80517

Great spot to go bowling, play some games, and watch sporting events! We have been on a few bowling leagues here and have always had a blast! They have delicious wings and pretzel bites.

Downtown Estes Park

Downtown Estes Park
