The year was 2019. Hannah and Robbie were both living the single life in New York City — Hannah in a Soho walkup, and Robbie in a Kips Bay duplex. One day, on a whim, they both decided to download a new dating app called Raya. Rob was swiping away, wondering if this was really the best way to find that special someone.... and then there was Hannah. Smiling her beautiful smile, posing with her sister, and holding her baby nephew, Maverick. He swiped right and crossed his fingers. Hannah was his first match. The date was March 24th, 2019. They started talking and hit it off immediately. Turns out, Hannah had gotten "networking" coffee with Rob's sister Lucie a few years before! He asked Lucie what she thought of Hannah, and he got a glowing review. He decided to ask her out for a first date. Hannah was equally excited to have matched with a seemingly (semi)normal guy who loved to travel and had a shared love for the band Dispatch. They talked non-stop for the next few days, and the conversation was going so well that Hannah even told her mom about it. Her Aunt Wendy even predicted that he'd be the one - before they ever met! For their first date they met for tacos at Tacombi, and talked the night away for hours on end. At the end of the night, Rob was so excited that he started walking home in the totally wrong direction. They couldn't get enough of each other. After a few dates, they went out to listen to live music and play ping pong at place nearby called The Fat Cat. That was the night Rob (very smoothly) blurted out "I really like you. Do you like me?" Spoiler alert: she said yes :) Fast forward about a year... the pandemic hits, and their offices shut down. Literally day 1 quarantine, they decide to foster a puppy. It was supposed to last for 2 weeks. That 2 weeks turned into 3 years (and counting). Theo, Rob, and Hannah have become a small family of 3. In summer 2020, they finally got their own apartment together in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. A year later, they got engaged on a beautiful sunrise hike in Sedona AZ! The rest, as they say, is history.
