We met on September 2nd, 2019 on Cole's first day at Enterprise Truck Rental in Roseville, MN where Carly was already working in the building as a logistics supervisor for Enterprise. Carly spotted Cole and avoided eye contact for the rest of the day so he didn't know that she had been staring at him. Over the next few months, we became friends. On January 31st, 2020 a happy hour was scheduled for the work team and Carly used that as an excuse to ask for Cole's number. Carly ended up sitting at Joe Sensor's alone as no one else showed up but a text from Cole buzzed through saying he was still coming but was going to be late (does that surprise anyone?) We chatted over drinks and bang bang shrimp about our families, sports and what we liked to do outside of work. From that night on, we began our secret Enterprise love affair and the rest is history.

I'm happy to say this story has a happy ending because it did not start that way. After a few nights of Carly wanting to ring Cole's neck because his communication was sub par, he dragged her down to Mankato, MN to walk through the Kiwanis Lights. We met Olivia, Ryan and Jackson thankfully to lighten the mood after Carly grilled Cole the whole drive asking where he had been all week. Not long into the path we stopped to take our first picture and Cole asked to take just one more. Suddenly, it all made sense that Wednesday, Cole was asking for Kelly's permission to marry his daughter. Thursday, he was picking out the dream ring with Brenda and Friday he had been in the parking lot calling Rachel and all of Carly's siblings asking for their permission too. (Swoooon) He popped the romantic question of, "after the week we've had, I was wondering if you'd still want to marry me?" and Carly answered, "I think I'm going to throw up." The answer had always been YES as we turned around to see both sets of our parents watching our moment: the biggest question, the easiest answer and the MOST GORGEOUS RING.
