Mt. Woodson Castle
Location of our wedding venue. Excited to see you all there! It is the easternmost green point on the map.
San Diego Zoo Safari Park
We've been here many times, especially after getting an annual membership! A great place to see big animals roaming around like giraffes and rhinos!
Coronado Island
Madelyn's hometown/island! This beautiful island is located right next to downtown and is accessible by driving over the stunning Coronado Bridge. Hit the beach or go for a scenic (but most importantly, flat) bike ride!
Petco Park
Home of the Padres and considered the #1 ballpark in the country and is located in the heart of downtown San Diego. FYI: the Brewers are in town the week of our wedding for our Wisconsin folks. Enjoy some of San Diego's food specialties there too like Hodads and Ballast Point.
UC San Diego
Our alma mater! We both spent many years here getting our degrees and making lifelong friends. Truly an amazing campus that is constantly updated with new buildings, restaurants, and higher parking prices.
La Dolce Vita Ristorante
One of our favorite Italian spots right in downtown La Jolla. Madelyn's favorite dish is Penne alla Vodka, while Matthew prefers the Gnocchi della Nonna.
Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve
Our first hike together at one of Madelyn's favorite trails. Walk alongside a creek with some low trees and rocks.
Pauly's Pizza Joint
One of our favorite pizza places! We typically get the calzone to share, with extra ricotta since it's Madelyn's favorite.
