They argue as to who deserves the recognition, so we'll give credit to both our groomsmen Erich and Sean for making the introduction. It was Thanksgiving Eve 2013 and our friends were all headed to the Cyclone's game and out after. My (Lindsey's) eye was drawn to a new, super cute, member of the friend group I had never seen before. At the game Mike moved up to sit by me and the story begins.... kind of. After the night of Cyclones and going out with friends, we didn't connect or even chat until Spring of that next year when Lindsey asked Mike to come to her college house and fix a wall that had a hole. Mike came over and fixed the 'hole' that happened to be more of a dent and proceeded to ignore Lindsey's invite to a party that evening with her roommates. Fast forward to April of 2014 when Erich brought Mike to the farm for a weekend getaway with friends. That night we stayed up all night chatting, learning about each other, sitting around the fire, and hanging in my hammock. After some initial texting (Mike finally got my number) he asked, "What are your thoughts on heights?" one day in a message. Without thinking much about it, I agreed to jump out of a perfectly good plane on our first date and the rest truly is history. That sky dive trip would start our 7+ years of dating, including 2.5 years long distance, a purchased building, renovation, and engagement.
