Travel Note
Please keep in mind that Laguna Beach is extremely busy during the summer. Traffic in and out of the area can be heavily impacted, and even short distances may take an hour or more at peak times. If you are unfamiliar with the area, it can be difficult to anticipate just how significant these delays can be. We strongly recommend planning ahead, allowing extra travel time, or securing accommodations nearby. Parking in Laguna Beach is also very limited.

Hotel
We’ll be staying at Laguna Surf Lodge by SCP Hotels and encourage anyone planning to stay overnight to book there as well so you can celebrate alongside us and our families. It’s just a three-minute walk from the venue, a beautiful beachfront property with direct beach access, private beach chairs, and a pool. Located in the heart of Laguna Beach, it’s also close to restaurants, shops, and everything else the area has to offer. Please note that the hotel does not offer room blocks, as it is a boutique property and operates on a first-come, first-serve basis. Availability is already extremely limited, with rooms nearly sold out, and rates will continue to increase as the date approaches. If you’re planning to stay with us, we highly recommend securing your reservation as soon as possible.
Hotel
We recommend avoiding the Pacific Edge Hotel, even though it is conveniently located, as it will be closed for renovations throughout this year. The reopening date is currently unconfirmed, with closures expected through August 2026. If you’re looking for more affordable options, totally understandable, please keep in mind that Laguna Beach is quite expensive during the summer. SCP Seven4One, an affiliated boutique property is just steps away, offers a more affordable alternative, and includes access to Laguna Surf Lodge’s beachfront amenities. Hotels located across the street on the non-oceanfront side are often more budget-friendly as well, such as 14 West, which is just around the corner. A bit farther out, but still offering great value, are Costa Art Hotel, The Tides Laguna Beach, Laguna Beach House, Crescent Bay Inn, and others. Hotels in Laguna Beach tend to book up well in advance and continue to increase in price as the date approaches, so if you’re planning to stay in the area, we strongly recommend securing your accommodations as early as possible. Important note: There’s a timeshare property called Laguna Surf, which is different from Laguna Surf Lodge (as seen in the link above). Be careful not to mix them up, Laguna Surf is quite outdated and not affiliated with us.
Travel Note
Laguna Beach is a charming, laid-back coastal town, and we recommend staying there the night of the wedding to fully enjoy the experience. If you’re looking for something a bit more lively and affordable for the rest of your trip, Newport Beach and Huntington Beach both offer plenty of energy, restaurants, and nightlife. Newport Beach hotel suggestions: Lido House is in the heart of the action, VEA (where we got engaged) is beautiful and located next to Fashion Island, and Pendry offers a similar location and upscale experience. Huntington Beach hotel suggestions: The Hyatt, Hilton, and Paséa are all located right by the beach, restaurants, and nightlife, making for a fun stay.
