While at a Cubs game on 9.17.2016, my friend and I posted a selfie on FB with a 'check-in' that we were @ the game. A mutual friend of mine and Cody's (who he was at the same game with) sent me a message wanting to meet up afterwards, but unfortunately we couldn't. Two days later, I received a random flirty Facebook message from Cody saying that he wished we could have met up after the game. We exchanged phone numbers and texted for a couple days & finally went on our first date to his favorite restaurant, Texas Roadhouse. I was so nervous all day leading up to our date! Once i saw him standing at my front door I instantly got that feeling of butterflies in my tummy! We had a great first date together, but after a couple days, we kind of drifted apart. We ended up finding our way back to each other a short month later. On our way back home from a date, Cody put on the song "Single Girl" by Thomas Rhett. Once we got to my house Cody walked me inside, and I could tell he was super nervous about something and eventually he asked me, "Do you know why I played that song on our way home?" I replied, "No." He then said, "I don't want you to be a single girl anymore." My heart melted. WE WERE OFFICIAL! We have gone on multiple wonderful vacations together, but our trip to DisneyWorld in Orlando will forever remain the most special to us. On June 7th, 2018 we were standing in one of the lines to get our pics taken in front of the famous magical castle. Cody got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I SAID YES! & Here we are living our amazing life together with our two fur babies (Shelby&Stella) We can't wait to spend forever together.
