It was one fateful day working late at Yello. Josh had a calendar invite to interview a young Ms. Stella Nisenbaum as a Data Services Manager. She was to fix all of Yello's reporting problems. During the interview Josh and his interview partner Drew didn't really know a lot about data warehousing (one of Stella's areas of expertise) so the interview quickly turned into her teaching them its basic concepts. Needless to say she was hired.
Stella and Josh, along with a few other coworkers, were coaxed into a random happy hour after work. About 6 people went to the bar in the lobby of the building and hung out for a while. In typical hang out with Stella fashion she got the group to go to Howl at the Moon. The party dwindled and eventually it was just Stella and Josh closing down Howl at 2am. They hopped from place to place but eventually found themselves at Josh's watching Xena: Warrior Princess around 7am. Then when the sun was coming up, they shared a kiss. The moment quickly passed with the realization that they needed to be back at work in 2 hours. The rest is history.
Throughout their relationship Josh and Stella have always moved quickly. They were practically inseparable, spending 24/7 together (at work and after work) within 3 weeks of starting to date. Josh was acting like his typical self and was going through the motions, enjoying the relationship. Stella, however, wanted more definition and to know exactly where things were going. So just about every day or so, Stella would tell Josh to "Get on it!" (Marry me already!). Eventually he got the message.
For Stella's birthday Josh decided to get here a Caribbean getaway to the Dominican to get a much needed break from the stress of work. He had a general idea he was going to propose during the trip but didn't know for sure. Approximately 3 days before the trip he went to a jewelry store by work and found a ring. It perfectly encapsulated Stella's style and was about her size. At this moment he was sure. Within a day of arriving in paradise, Josh heard the fateful phrase "Get on it" yet again. He secretly stole Stella's parent's phone numbers from her phone and asked them for her hand in marriage. They graciously said yes. Then the next day after dinner, Josh coaxed Stella into a nightly stroll on the beach. She reluctantly agreed. They got to a nice place by a day bed, Josh dropped to one knee, and proposed. Stella, without hesitation, said "Of Course!". They kissed, shared a moment alone together, then Stella started sending many many messages to family and friends.
