How far is the wedding venue from the airport?

Answer

St. Frances Cabrini church is approximately 45 minutes from General Mitchell Airport in Milwaukee. The Journeyman hotel is a 15 minute drive from General Mitchell Airport.

Where do you recommend staying?

Answer

Personally we would recommend staying in Milwaukee - you will be closer to the airport, and have a much easier time getting home after the reception. Only the wedding ceremony is outside of Milwaukee requiring an easy 45 minute drive. We've allowed a bit of extra time in between the ceremony and reception as some guests may wish to return their rental car immediately after the ceremony, and use Uber/Lyft for the rest of the stay. Uber/Lyft is plentiful in Milwaukee, and if your stay is limited to downtown, a combination of walking/Uber/Lyft is very easy. We understand the distances may provide logistical difficulties for some guests and hope that if this prevents you from being able to attend that we may celebrate with you in the future!

Are there any transportation options available?

Answer

There are rental cars available at General Mitchel Airport. Additionally, Uber and Lyft are plentiful in Milwaukee. If you are staying near downtown or the Third Ward, The Hop is free and a great public transportation option!

Where should we go in between the ceremony and reception? Is there a cocktail hour?

Answer

We decided not to host a cocktail hour because we have spent the last 3 years falling in love with the unique spots in Milwaukee, trying to visit new cocktail bars and restaurants any chance we get. We encourage you to use this time to do the same, and see why we love it here!
