Erica and Matthew met in April of 2017 while both attending UW-Whitewater. They can thank their mutual friend Kasey Coppernoll for introducing the two of them! Thanks, Kasey!

Matthew proposed to Erica in October of 2021 in a corn maze at Treinen Farm. Matthew had an elaborate set up waiting for Erica to come across, when she did, he got down on one knee!
