Abby and Jack first crossed paths during Abby’s freshman year at a Salt Company fall retreat. Though Abby doesn’t quite remember that moment, it’s where their story quietly began. Over the next couple of years, they found themselves surrounded by the same community, which naturally led to small conversations and quick “catch-ups.” Neither of them realized it at the time, but both were looking for those moments and both hoping the other might be doing the same. Fast forward to Jack graduating college and Abby losing her hopes of getting to know him better, but God had other plans!! What Abby didn’t know was that Jack had been working up the courage to ask her on a date. His opportunity came when she returned from a trip to Italy and Jack finally asked Abby on a their first date… and she said yes! He took her to Sebastian Joe’s, an ice cream shop, and if you know anything about Abby, it’s that she LOVES ice cream. So we may never know whether the date went so well because of Jack… or because of the ice cream! A few weeks later, Jack asked Abby another important question and again… she said yes to being his girlfriend! Over the following year, Abby and Jack fell in love over competitive card games, coffee dates, long conversations, and hours spent together at parks. All of it led to the biggest “yes” yet... When Jack asked Abby to spend the rest of their lives together. It was the easiest decision she ever made!!! Which brings us to today—reflecting on the story God has been writing from the very beginning, and the ways He brought our paths together. We are surrounded by the most gracious, supportive community we could ever pray for. We are overjoyed to celebrate all God has done in our lives, and we can’t wait to share it with the people we love most! Blessed is an understatement when we reflect on how lucky we are!!! We can’t wait to party!!!!!
