We met less than a week after moving into our freshman year dorms at the University of Minnesota in 2015, started dating a month later, and have been together ever since! We spent countless hours studying together in the depths of Walter library, going to football and hockey games, and building an incredible group of friends. We have been able to celebrate many accomplishments together, including multiple graduations and new jobs. In 2021 we adopted our sweet cat, Clyde, together and have spent a lot of time loving up on him. In March of 2022 we decided to take advantage of the last spring break either of us would have and took a trip to Colorado. We spent a lot of time skiing, hiking and visiting family in Denver. While on a mini trip down to Colorado Springs we were hit with one of the biggest snowstorms they had all year (of course) which forced us to find a lot of things to do inside. Little did I know, this greatly messed up Ryan's proposal plans (I had zero clue this was happening). After some rearranging and some sunshine we were able to take a hike out to Garden of Gods where I continually offered to take photos of other people on the trail while Ryan waited for us to be alone to finally propose! And of course, without hesitation, I said yes :)
