The Live! by Lowes hotel where we have a room block is located in Ballpark Village. Although the Cardinals aren't in town that weekend, there is still plenty to do! Check out Rooster for breakfast crepes or Salt + Smoke for barbecue. If you feel like venturing a bit further, head to Broadway Oyster Bar for Cajun food or 4 Hands Brewery for some of our favorite local beers! Downtown is also home to the City Museum and St. Louis Arch, two of the city's most unique attractions!
We met in Soulard and have spent plenty of time there over the years! Stop by Protagonist Café on your way to the Soulard Farmers Market on Saturday morning or head over to Anheuser-Busch Brewery for a tour. Check out Bogarts for barbeque or Jack Nolen's for burgers. McGurk's, Molly's, and ITap are all great places to grab a drink after a day of exploring. Don't forget to swing by Carson's for late night karaoke! Check out neighboring Benton Park for more food and drink options! Try Blues City Deli for sandwiches, Arzolas for fajitas, or Venice Cafe (cash only) for a great patio with live music!
Tower Grove Park has our favorite farmers market on Saturday mornings! The surrounding neighborhood has great places to explore and is also home to our wedding venue, Wild Carrot! Take a stroll around the Missouri Botanical Gardens or try the pancakes at Grand Pied. Alpha Brewery has a nice patio and some of Courtney's favorite sour beers. Sasha's on Shaw is a cute wine bar just a couple blocks from Wild Carrot if you'd like to get the festivities started a little early on Sunday!
Forest Park is a St. Louis gem and one of our favorite places to walk our dog, Sam, on a nice day! There are plenty of picnic spots, museums, and trails for walking and running. Options in Forest Park are endless, but we recommend you take in the views at Art Hill, stop by the Boathouse for a drink, or say hi to the penguins at the St. Louis Zoo! Stop by Tamm Avenue Bar, Seamus McDaniel's, or Felix's Pizza Pub in nearby Dogtown for snacks and drinks after exploring the park!
The Grove has some of our favorite foods in the city! Check out Pie Guy for New York-style pizza (don't forget the garlic knots), Gramophone for sandwiches, and Songbird for breakfast. The Urban Chestnut Bierhall, Grace Meat + Three, and Hello Juice are some of our other favorites! Union Loafers, Rockwell Brewery, and The Vandy cocktail bar are all fun spots nearby as well!
The Hill is one of our frequent stops for Sub Saturdays and Italian dinners. It's also a great place to try a St. Louis staple, toasted ravioli. Stop by Gioia's Deli for a hot salami sandwich or Pizzeria da Gloria for spritzes and pizza. Milo's is a fun bar with bocce ball and St. Louis style pizza. Adriana's and Zia's are also great spots to check out!
