Join us for welcome drinks on Thursday night at El Techo. We will offer beer, wine, and tapas. We encourage you to make dinner plans before or after the Welcome Reception. Tip: Award-winning restaurant, Santaella, is next door. El Techo Rooftop Bar is located in ‘La Placita,’ a hundred year-old plaza that hosts a traditional farmer’s market in the day and comes to life at night. La Placita is located in Santurce, a vibrant San Juan neighborhood that can still be considered off-the-beaten path. Take some time to wander Calle Loiza — known as San Juan’s “Avenue of the Arts” — and enjoy the murals and street art that color the buildings and storefronts.

Chinchorrear, or the act of hopping between multiple chinchorros to eat, drink and dance, has become an essential part of Puerto Rican culture. Typically, it is a group of friends who gather to road trip around a coastal or mountainous route, making multiple stops in chinchorros (kiosks) for drinks, food, and dancing. We will board the buses and enjoy our Chinchorreo, which will take a coastal route stopping in Piñones, Muelle de Cataño y Playa de Dorado -- coastal stops in North Eastern Puerto Rico. Each stop is an accessible uber back to the San Juan metro area/hotels.

The ceremony will begin at 4:00 pm with a reception to follow at the same venue. No transportation will be provided to the ceremony or back from the reception due to the narrow roads in Old San Juan and location of the venue. We apologize for the inconvenience! However, La Concha is an easy 15 minute Uber ride away.
