We first met on our way to SEEK24, a Catholic conference held in St Louis that year! We like to joke that we met "speed dating" as our first conversation came from a speed friending activity on the bus. We talked a few times on that trip, but only saw each other at Church events for the next 6 months. That summer, with the help of his roommate, Justin showed up at Kaylee's doorstep where he asked to trade dogs. This interaction was documented on Kaylee's ring doorbell! We began going on dates to ice cream shops, the farmers market, and giving Goose and Zoe plenty of bonding opportunities. After an afternoon of paddleboarding, a very sunburnt Justin again showed up unannounced to Kaylee's doorstep with flowers, asking her to be his girlfriend. (also captured on the ring camera). Since then, we have spent our time playing games, watching The Chosen, competing in volleyball, walking our favorite pups, and cheering for the Yankees (and Royals I guess). The following spring, Justin made the mistake of hinting to Kaylee that a ring was purchased. Three days before Justin asked THE BIG question, Kaylee was convinced we were never going to get engaged. Kaylee was happily surprised at a picnic after church when Justin said "Dude, are you ready for this?" followed by "THE BIG" question. We fittingly celebrated the moment with orange jello — a longstanding inside joke. We cannot wait to celebrate the Sacrament of Marriage and we hope to see you there! Please keep us in your prayers!
