Steffen and I's story began as friends at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA. Steffen remembers meeting me for the first time in cadaver lab (great meeting spot, right?). Since it was a small college and we both enjoyed the social scene, Steffen and I often saw each other and made a lot of mutual friendships. Our love story didn't start until after college when we went to a Wine Fest as friends but then discovered we had several common interests and a new found chemistry. After traveling back and forth from Des Moines and Davenport to see each other nearly every weekend, Steffen moved to Des Moines a year later. Our apartment in Waukee was a great home base as we explored Des Moines as well as ventured out on excursions to Mexico, Colorado, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan. This past September we decided to go all in and buy a house in Waukee. Homeownership has been a blast so far and we couldn't be more excited for all the adventures and visitors to come! In December, Steffen managed to surprise me. Despite telling me I had a present in my stocking, I looked and found nothing, until I turned around to find Steffen down on one knee. It was so fun to surprise our family and friends over the holidays with the news. We are much looking forward to the memories of our wedding with all of you present!
