Is this the big event?

Answer

Of course not! We want to see everyone and party with all of you, but felt it was best to postpone the large gathering until things were safer to do so. We will be sending out more information later on so keep your eyes out for it in the mail!

How do I use this Skype thing?

Answer

Skype is a handy conferencing app that will allow you to watch the ceremony on any device of your choosing, be it a computer, tablet or phone. Right above this answer is an invitation link to the Skype meeting. When you open the link: 1. Click join as guest 2. Fill in your name so we know who you are 3. Click join call 4. Please mute your microphone when you enter the meeting It is recommended you join 10 minutes prior to the 4:00 pm start time, as we will begin promptly.

Friday, June 5th, 2020 at 4:00 pm. But you should be there 5-10 minutes early, so log in around 3:50-4:00 pm

Does this count as a "real" wedding?

Answer

Yes it does, thanks to Governor Hogan and his interim policy allowing officiants to perform their duties remotely. The person you will see on the tablet next to us is Mr. Scott Poyer, Anne Arundel Clerk of the Court, and officiant of our wedding.
