When Stefanny started her hunt for a part-time job during college, she never expected to end up in an airport let alone meeting the man she would be marrying eight years later. In Fall of 2010, the story of Stefanny and Brian began with the fateful day when Stefanny walked in through the FBO's door to apply for a job . After dropping off her application at a nearby vet's office, Stefanny accidentally took a wrong turn, landing her in the driveway of Essex County Airport in Caldwell, NJ. On the window of the office, she noticed the "Help Wanted" sign and thought, "Why not?" and walked in to apply. One week later, first day on the job, Brian walked in off the ramp after a flight, and said "Hello, I'm Brian!" The two struck up conversation after conversation each day on the job. Soon, the friendship took off (more literally than figuratively) after their first date where Brian brought Stefanny on a flight over the Hudson...the rest is history!
Over 6,700 miles away in beautiful Japan, Brian knew that this was the place he was going to propose to Stefanny. Just a day before their flight to Japan, after spending days sneaking around from work to the jeweler, Brian was panicking...A blizzard just hit Northern New Jersey and flights were being cancelled left and right, including their Japan trip. Quickly, he regrouped and booked them on the next available flight to Hong Kong, then a day later Japan. But what was worse he didn't have the ring yet and they were set to leave in a day! Braving the storm, he drove to the jeweler who somehow managed to put the finishing touches that day on the ring and handed the sparkling gem to Brian. It seemed fate was on Brian's side! Two days later on March 25th 2018, in the Shinjuku Gyoen National Park, underneath a giant bloomed cherry blossom tree Brian got down on one knee and asked, "Stefanny, will you marry me?"
