Thank goodness for rec-league kickball! We met in the outfield of a recreation league kickball game at Crow Creek Park in Bettendorf, IA in October 2015. Luckily our paths crossed again while in Iowa City for the Iowa/Minnesota game a few weeks later and the rest is history!

We had a weekend planned in Chicago for quite some time to watch the Chicago Bears take on the Detroit Lions. We always take the train into the city from Aurora, and on November 9th, 2019, things were no different. As we are at the station, I turn around and Ty is down on one knee! It was totally unexpected. We then took the train into Chicago and checked into the Sheraton downtown. Tyler had arranged for a room with a view of Lake Michigan as well as a bottle of wine to be waiting for us. The rest of the weekend was so much fun; and the Bears even beat the Lions!
