Question

Will there be food?

Answer

Uhm, of course! It will be buffet style with plenty of different food options for you to choose from.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes! Every person will have 3 drink tickets accounted for them (even children). If someone chooses not to use their tickets (like anyone who chooses not to drink and, of course, the children), they can be put in a small basket at one of our tables (tickets for children will automatically be placed in the basket). If you have already used all 3 of your drink tickets, then you can go to the basket and grab another ticket. We just ask that you please be respectful of everyone and not grab a handful of drink tickets for yourself. It will be first come, first served, though! Once all drink tickets are gone, you are more than welcome to start your own tab at the bar.

Will there be music?

Answer

Flood Zone generally has their own live music on Friday evenings. Because of this, it will be unlikely that we will have our own music playing. If that changes, we will have a bluetooth speaker and a fun playlist playing.

Where can I stay?

Answer

We have a room block of 20 rooms at the Best Western Hotel in Westminster. It's about a 15 minute drive from Flood Zone Brewery and about a 5 minute drive from O'Lordan's. There are other hotels, but Union Bridge is a small area, so other options are a bit further away!

Can you explain the transportation better?

Answer

Sure! We are renting a 46-52 person school bus as a shuttle. The shuttle will do 2 trips to Flood Zone (from the hotel), 2 trips back to the hotel (from Flood Zone), 2 trips to O'Lordan's (from the hotel), and 2 trips back to the hotel (from O'Lordan's). The times are all located on the "travel" tab at the top! The shuttle is on a fairly tight schedule and they will not wait. If you miss the second shuttle, you will have to find your own way to each location.

Are we allowed to have cell phones to take pictures?

Answer

Yes! This is a vow renewal and a party - it's not that serious! We want you to take pictures and upload them into our album. There will be little QR codes around for you to scan so you can upload them for us to have as well. Please do this! We can't wait to make a photo album with all the pictures from the event. We all know things get hectic for the hosts, and your pictures will give us some ease of mind so we don't have to worry about that.

Are you really doing this on Halloween?

Answer

Yes!!! Stefanie's favorite holiday is Halloween and that is our wedding anniversary. This is a vow renewal on our anniversary, that we want you to be part of! We are FULLY aware that many of you have children and may prefer to be with your kiddos and go trick-o-treating, and we absolutely respect that. Keep in mind, we would LOVE to see costumes and we will have a bit of a "trick-o-treating" activity for any kiddos that do RSVP yes (think full sized candy bars)!

You really want us to wear costumes?

Answer

YES! It's Halloween! Best costume will get a little prize from us! And you all will be the ones voting! Do your best and show out for us. If you don't like to dress up, you do not have to! You can dress however you want! Keep in mind that many friends and family members have various political views and things get heated, so we ask that you do NOT wear anything that has any political affiliation (any part of the spectrum). We are all there to have a good time, and there's no point in starting the senseless chaos among family and friends.

I want to make sure I'm on time - is there a schedule?

Answer

Yes! Here is our tentative schedule: 5:00 pm - Begin arriving to Flood Zone Brewery. 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm - Hors d'oeuvres will be served (buffet style). 6:00 pm - 6:30 pm - Vow Renewal. 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm - Dinner will be served (eat as you feel hungry) / Friends & Family mingling. 8:50 pm - First shuttle back to the hotel. 9:00 pm - Last call. 9:30 pm - 10:00 pm - Clean up will occur. 10:00 pm - Everyone MUST be gone from Flood Zone - this is the LAST shuttle time to get back to the hotel. 10:35 pm - First shuttle leaves the hotel to go to O'Lordan's for the "after party". 11:00 pm - Second shuttle leaves the hotel to go to O'Lordan's for the "after party". 10:35 pm - 1:00 am - After party at O'Lordan's. Feel free to start your own tab! 12:30 am - First shuttle back to the hotel. 1:00 am - Everyone MUST be gone from O'Lordan's - this is the LAST shuttle time to get back to the hotel.

Do I need to bring money?

Answer

If you plan to drink a lot, please plan to eventually start your own tab. We will only have a certain amount of drink tickets! Be sure to tip your bartenders when you start your own tab - they're working hard to take care of us (feel free to tip additionally when you order a drink with a drink ticket). If you plan to go to our after party, we are still looking into some finger food options, but any alcohol will need to be on your own tab.

Can I have a plus one?

Answer

Yes! When you RSVP, you may see Guest Unknown Name. You can RSVP for that person, too. We don't necessarily need names, we are really just focusing on the actual numbers to determine how many wristbands we need and how much food we need to order.

Can my kids come?

Answer

Yes! When you RSVP, you should see ALL members of your family, even if it says "Guest Name Unknown". If, for some reason, you don't see enough spots, please reach out to us so we can address that. We know that it's Halloween and many of the kiddos will be home or with friends to celebrate, but if you want to bring your kiddos, we want to have them celebrate with us!

Do I have to stay at the hotel?

Answer

Absolutely not! There is no pressure to come early, stay the whole time, stay at the hotel, etc. This is supposed to just be a fun, down-to-earth party, and we want you to do what you’re comfortable with!

Where can I park?

Answer

If you’re planning on just visiting with us for a bit, there is parking at Flood Zone. During peak hours, the main parking lot tends to fill up quickly. They have two auxiliary parking areas for guests (Union Bridge Car Wash, directly beside the Brewery; and C.R. Stambaugh's, directly across the street from the Brewery).
