The wedding ceremony will be held at the Chapel of the Ozarks at Top of the Rock, followed by the reception at the Grandview Ballroom on the Big Cedar Lodge property.
We kindly ask our guests to dress in formal attire—floor-length gowns/ dresses, elegant jumpsuits, or suits and ties are all welcome for the occasion. October in Missouri can be crisp, so a light jacket or shawl is recommended. The ceremony and reception are indoors. However, you till be traveling between locations.
We highly recommend arriving early, as you will need to take a shuttle when you park at Top of the Rock. The property is vast, with lots of scenic spots along the way, and we want you to enjoy the views without feeling rushed. Please arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the ceremony.
If you are staying at Big Cedar Lodge: Use the transportation app provided at check-in to request a shuttle to Top of the Rock, where the Chapel of the Ozarks is located. The shuttle ride is typically 3–5 minutes from most locations, though travel time may vary depending on the number of guests being picked up. If you are not staying at Big Cedar Lodge: Parking is available at Top of the Rock. Let the staff know you are here for the wedding, and the parking fee will be waived. You will park at the Welcome Center, and a shuttle (approximately a 1-minute drive) will take you to the ceremony site. Shuttles run continuously every 10-15 minutes. After the ceremony, guests should take the shuttles back to their cars. You will need to drive to the reception venue. Shuttles will not take you to Top of the Rock after the wedding reception. Please allow plenty of time for shuttle transportation to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience.
Yes! We encourage you to take some time to enjoy the amazing views at Top of the Rock, where the Chapel of the Ozarks is located. Arrive a little early to soak in the scenery and snap some photos. Please note that most dining and bars at Top of the Rock do not open until 4 PM. However, there will be time after the ceremony and before the cocktail hour/reception to explore the space, grab a drink, or take even more pictures.
As much as we love your children, we’ve decided to keep our wedding adults-only—so everyone can relax, unwind, and truly enjoy the evening…aka, we want you to party it up!
The bridesmaids will be in shades of green. However, if your outfit happens to be in these colors, there is no restriction—feel free to wear what makes you comfortable and confident!
We would love for our guests to turn the wedding into a fun weekend getaway! Stefanie and Simon have put together a thoughtful list of their favorite local spots and attractions to help you make the most of your time in the area. You can find all of their recommendations on the “Things to Do” tab of the wedding website.
Your invitation will let you know if a plus one is included. If you have any questions—feel free to text the bride or groom. They’re happy to help!
