We’re getting married!

Stefanie noticed Owen before she ever officially met him. He was tall, handsome, with curly blonde hair, and there was just something about him that felt familiar. When she realized they shared mutual friends, it felt like their paths had already been crossing long before they knew it. After mentioning him to a friend who happened to be connected through family, things fell into place very easily. Phone numbers were exchanged, conversations started, and it quickly became clear how much they had in common. Both were students at Grand Valley, both working toward careers in education, and both sharing similar values and hopes for the future. The connection felt effortless and meant to be. What began as a simple connection grew into something beautiful and before long, love followed. As their relationship grew, so did the life they built together. After two and a half years, they started their careers, moved into a home in Jenison, and welcomed their sweet puppy, Ruby. In the middle of everyday routines and big milestones, they found comfort, happiness, and a true sense of home in one another. On December 13, a date especially meaningful to Stefanie, Owen planned the most thoughtful proposal. He took her to Grand Haven, one of their favorite places filled with many special memories. Just when she thought the moment was complete, he surprised her with a room full of the people she loves most, all there to celebrate their engagement. What started as a simple connection has grown into a beautiful love story and they cannot wait to continue writing it together.
