We met seven years ago, after being introduced by a family member. From that moment onward our friendship and relationship began to grow. Our first three years were to say the least challenging, from Stefanie going to school in Orillia, to Dave living in Caledonia, driving the countless hours in between to see one another for the weekends. After school was no longer a divide we worked hard to flourish as a couple, working hard for our goals and achieving them all along the way. We can honestly say that we are lucky to be together, to enable nothing but success and support for one another. [ The Proposal ] Dave proposed to Stefanie Friday October 13th in the hauntingly beautiful "Hermitage Manor" off of Lovers Lane in Ancaster. Dave for months was looking for the perfect spot to pop the question until he came upon the perfect location. The story behind the Hermitage is about two star crossed lovers who were forbidden to be with one another. Dave's plan was to pick Stefanie up early from work and to surprise her with a beautiful fall hike through the forest. Little did Stefanie know awaiting amongst the roots of a remarkable tree was a scroll tied with a ribbon. Being oblivious to the fact, it was a potential engagement proposal, Stefanie proceeded to read the hidden letter. To her surprise the beautifully hand written letter was addressed to her. With disbelief and the most romantic atmosphere, the surprise proposal was that of a fairytale.
