Michelle Stefanelli of number five, Florabunda Lane was proud to say that she was perfectly normal, thank you very much. Stephen Cellini, a member of Pheasant Run Swim Club in Cinnaminson, New Jersey, was a passionate sports ball player and known as the second best athlete in his family. But to Michelle and her gang of elite swimmers, he was but a fly to be squashed in the intense battle of nuke'em whenever the adults commandeered the pool. The year was 2003, the season: summer. Local groups from across the town came out to watch the nuke'em matches between the swimmers and "shoebies". Two individuals stood out amongst their peers for their sheer will to stay alive. On one particularly sweltering afternoon, a legendary game unfolded that would capture the hearts and minds of all in attendance. As their comrades fell around them, Steve and Michelle endured, keeping themselves in the game until each were the lone survivors of their respective teams. The team game had transformed into a battle of wills. Each threw, and the other made the necessary play to stay alive. This repeated for many a turn. Whether the motivation was passion, spite, or sheer hubris, Michelle and Steve refused to quit. The sun passed overhead and into the west, yet the game continued. Some accounts say they played into the night, never conceding the decisive blow. As darkness enveloped the club and visibility waned, the lifeguards and pool workers pleaded for the game to end. Relenting, a truce was presented and agreed upon, ending the game in a draw. The onlookers went forth and told the world, growing the legend of the game. Steve and Michelle stood tall that day, basking in the glory of simply not losing. Some time later, they made out at Xfinity Live and are now getting married.
