Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

While we'd love to see your kids, our wedding weekend will be adults only. *If you'd like to bring your kiddo to brunch just reach out to us!

Question

What is the dress code for the weekend?

Answer

Friday night will be "smart casual" -- men can wear jackets or other "going out" attire, and women should wear something they'd like to go out for a night on the town in -- dresses, fun pant suits, skirts etc. -- you can get creative with this! Saturday is black tie optional. We invite tuxedos, but they are not required. Sunday brunch is casual. Do not expect anyone to be looking their best for this one!

Will you be providing transportation?

Answer

We will not be providing transportation to the wedding venue, but we will be providing transportation back to the hotel from the venue starting at 12am (though band plays until 1230am). Add'l shuttles will be available at 1:30am after the initial after party to bring guests from the venue to the after after party. If you know you’d like to leave before 12am, we recommend scheduling an Uber/Lyft in advance at your desired time. The venue is approximately 20 minutes from the hotel. For those driving to the venue, please follow directions here: https://thelibertywarehouse.com/directions/. There will be valet at the venue.

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

While we'll be providing transportation back to the hotel for the after party, we suggest you take a lyft/uber to the venue for the ceremony. From the hotel, this is approx a 20 min drive. If coming from other parts of the city, please bake in ample time for traffic and see directions here: https://thelibertywarehouse.com/directions/. If you are driving, please pull up all the way to the venue, and complimentary valet will be provided. Note; please have your uber/lyft pull up all the way to the venue (i.e. go onto the pier). There is a covered area there for you to enter the venue.

Where should I stay?

Answer

Please see the "Accommodation" tab to book your hotel at Gild Hall where we have a room block. This hotel is located in the Financial District and is minutes from the welcome party and brunch. Gild Hall is also where we'll be providing transportation back after the reception.

What will the weather be like in May?

Answer

This is a tricky one! It could be warm, cold, rainy, or sunny. We'd recommend checking the latest weather here: https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/red-hook/12571/may-weather/2128586?year=2023 Our wedding events will all likely be indoors, but there is a beautiful patio and view of the Statue of Liberty so you may want to bring a light jacket to enjoy the views.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Your invitation will indicate if you have a guest or not. While we'd love to accommodate +1s for all guests, we are restricted by capacity. Please reach out to us if you have an individual question.

Where can I park near the hotel?

Answer

There is a garage across the street from Gild Hall called 'iPark' at 22 Platt Street. Guests can park there, or the hotel offers valet at no additional cost. It is $55 / night for cars/crossover trucks and $65 for larger SUVs/vans.
