Enjoy Lake George or Lake Champlain
There are a few marinas that rent boats. Snug Harbor has a location in Ticonderoga and in Silver Bay. http://www.snugharbormarinainc.com Brookwood RV Resort (http://www.brookwoodrvresort.com) rents canoes and kayaks for $40 a day. Lake George is named a top 10 fishing destination in the northeast. Ticonderoga is named one of the best places for Lake Trout, Northern Pike, Large Mouth Bass, Small Mouth Bass, Pickerel and Land Locked Salmon.
Westport
Stef's hometown! We have to admit our bias but we think Westport might just be the prettiest town on the lake. We suggest at the very least, admiring the views from Ballard Park. Also home to one of the prettiest golf course in the country! Want to get outside and explore? Check out CATS, a large network of trails. Learn more at www.champlainareatrails.com Hungry? Make a stop at Dogwood's for the best bread around! The Westport Marina will also be open that weekend, a perfect place for a lakeside meal! https://www.thegalley.restaurant Grab some caffeine at the Coffee Shop on Main Street from Benji. Try out the Ledge Hill Brewing Company, a new brewery located in Sue's (Stef's mom) old veterinary hospital!
Keene
One of our favorite small towns. From here, hike one of the great Adirondack peaks or fish the Ausable River. Check out some of the cute shops in town! If you are hungry on your way to Keene or don't want to go all the way there, stop in Elizabethtown and eat at The Deer's Head Inn. Along Route 9N between the two towns are a lot of beautiful hikes ranging from a mile to all day trips. Looking for lunch after your hike? Have a slice of some of our favorite pie at The Noon Mark diner. We also love Cedar Run Bakery and Market and the ADK cafe. Check out The Brew Castle for a great beer selection. Bring your growler!
Lake Placid
Fun day trip with lots of Olympic activities Headed downtown and want a sweet treat? We love Adirondack Chocolates! Go beer tasting at the Lake Placid Pub and Brewery or Big Slide Brewery.
Bolton
There are lots of things to do in Bolton! Burlington
Looking for a place thats a bit more populated? If you are willing to make the 1 hour and 15 minute drive there are lots of things to do in Burlington. Take a stroll down Church Street for some shopping and good food.
