​Jennifer tasked me with writing “our story” so here we go! The first time I met Jennifer was out at Fry St. in Denton. Our friends Eric and Ivy had been dating for a little bit and we all went out together with friends. Ivy happened to invite Jennifer, and her brother Jacob, out that night. When I first met Jennifer, I thought she was very beautiful, and in talking with her briefly found out she had a great personality. Then I heard the unfortunate news that she had a BF. This was disappointing at the time, but little did we know that we would one day fall in love. ​Fast forward a few months later. Jenn and I again tagged along on a date between Eric and Ivy. Jenn was still in a relationship. However, this time it was on the rocks a little. This is the first time Jenn and I actually spent a lot of time together. We went to a brewery, hung out all day, and I then realized even more how amazing of a person she was. It was also the first time I spent time with her dog, now our dog, Katie. And the first time I learned how terrible Katie’s breath is. After spending all of that time with her that day it kind of sucked that I had to still wait longer before we would be together. ​Fast forward again, some months later. Eric, Ivy, and I were all living together in Grapevine. They told me that Jenn was coming to stay with us because she had broken up with her BF. I didn’t get my hopes up too much. But I also knew it was time for me to turn on the charm. She was finally single! We went to a bar that night. And we were pretty inseparable the whole night. We talked about our mutual love for The Office. We danced the night away, and we stayed up late just talking for hours. This was also the night I got her number, funny enough it was so I could send her a quiz on The Office. Side note – I did better than her on the quiz. ​

I wanted to play it cool and not text her to quickly. Even though it was killing me and all I wanted to do was talk with her. I also knew that Jennifer is the type of girl who wouldn’t stay single long. So, I finally worked up the courage and texted her a day or so later. After that it was over. I found my self texting with her all day every day. Little did I know, even then I was falling in love with her. Shortly after texting, hanging out, and talking all the time I made it official with her and made her my girlfriend. Which turned out to be the best thing to ever happen to me. ​We began dating and I haven’t looked back since. We have made so many great memories in our short time together and I cannot wait to make so many more together. She has made me a dog person. Thanks to Cam and Katie. And we have adopted a cat child, Goose, together. Proposing to Jenn was the best decision I have ever made. The day I proposed to her was the happiest day of my life, and I can’t wait to make her my wife and spend the rest of our lives together.
