Train
- If you're meeting us for drinks on Saturday, the closest trains are the 1, 2, A, C, and E at Canal Street. - The L train will (probably) be shut down by the time of the wedding, so if you're planning on taking it, make sure that it's running. - The closest subway station to the wedding is the Marcy Avenue stop of the J, M, and Z trains. - For people who have never been here before: the subway runs 24/7, but the MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority) has been particularly unreliable in recent years, so it's always a good idea to Google the status of the train you're planning on taking before you head to the station.
Flight
- If you're staying in/around Williamsburg, where we're having the wedding, JFK is the closest airport and the most convenient, as you can connect to the J train straight from JFK's air train, and it'll take you right here.
Hotel
The best neighborhood in which to book hotels and Airbnbs is Williamsburg, where the wedding will be. There are several popular hotels around Wythe Avenue. If you're planning on taking the subway, most neighborhoods off the M or J lines should be good choices. If you're comfortable with taking cars instead, you're less restricted. If you would like more specific advice on where to stay, please don't hesitate to let us know.
Travel Note
- we strongly advise out of town guests not to rent cars! Driving in the city is more trouble than it's worth, and car service abounds if you need it. - if you're planning on joining us for drinks on Saturday, there will almost certainly be zero parking because it's Tribeca, and if there is, it's probably like $30 an hour - there is limited street parking around the ceremony and reception sites, as well as several parking garages nearby
