Yes! We strongly believe and support the science behind vaccinations and encourage all who have not received their COVID vaccine to do so! We are working closely with St. Mary's Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral and The Joseph to make sure our wedding is everything we have been planning while also considering everyone's health and safety. As of September 10, 2021, the city of Columbus, where The Joseph is located, imposed mask mandate for all indoor public spaces. What does this mean for our event? Private areas are exempted from the mask mandate. The Joseph is allowing us to exercise our discretion in whether we require masks at the reception. We are exercising our discretion and not requiring masks at our reception, which is the entire second floor of The Joseph.
The first floor lobby of The Joseph, the entrance and exit for all guests, is a public area that falls under the scope of Columbus's mask mandate. Therefore, please bring a mask for the sole purpose of entering and exiting the hotel. Again, masks are not required at the reception area, which is the entire second floor.
