Let’s do this thing!

Jess moved to Georgia in spring of 2005, and started school at Osborne Middle. We figure Ben and Jess were in the same chorus class for the rest of their 7th grade year.

Ben and Jess dated for some (very short) amount of time during high school. We went out for dates including coffee at Beaners and movies at the mall. Before serious labels could happen, Jess stopped responding to phone calls (sorry babe).

After being friends for several years, Ben and Jess started dating in fall of 2015 after a camping trip with Jess's bestie and college roommate, Carson. They drove back and forth between Athens and Atlanta before Jess moved to Atlanta over the summer of 2016.

In December of 2019, a free tent from REI turned into a last minute camping trip to Sweetwater Creek State Park. On Friday night, Ben drank whiskey and Jess drank red wine while Marcy laid between them by the campfire. When Jess woke up on Saturday morning, Ben wouldn't let her leave the tent without first asking the question: "Will you marry me?" followed by a big kiss and little tears (along with some sloppy kisses from Marcy). They spent the next several days telling as many people as possible in person, because nothing beats the shared excitement of family and friends.

Gearing up for our greatest adventure, we look forward to hosting our family and friends at the beautiful, historic Dekalb Courthouse
