Although we went to the same middle and high schools, shared a few friends, and knew briefly of each other in our teenage years, our story doesn’t really start until the tail end of the year 2018. At this time, Stephanie was living in Charlotte, North Carolina but missing her family and friends back home in Maryland, so she was visiting about once a month. On her visit home for the holidays, the two happened to run into each other at a little restaurant in Frederick called White Rabbit. This was quite a shock to both of them because earlier that day, after having never really had any meaningful conversations with one another, they happened to strike up a conversation on Instagram. Now, I won’t say this conversation was extremely meaningful, but it did involve the forever nostalgic PS2 game, Crash Bandicoot, and little bit of flirty banter. Divine intervention? Maybe. Right place right time? Probably. But whatever it was that brought us into the same room that night, we will be forever grateful for. A few months after this chance meeting, Stephanie was back living in Maryland and the two had developed a relationship that neither of them was looking for but were so elated to have found themselves in. Over the next few years, we went through a lot together. Life changes, career moves, tragic losses, and even a pandemic which completely shook up life as we knew it. But our relationship continued to grow. We had built a little life for ourselves that we loved. And the next thing we knew, we were talking about making this thing official. So here we are, 6 years after that silly little Instagram conversation, that led to that chance meeting in a secluded little restaurant, preparing to do just that. We cannot wait to say our “I Do’s” and dance the night away in a room full of all the people we love! Thank you for joining with us in our celebration!
