Tyler and Danielle first met at a camp when they were about 15. They were both too shy to actually talk to each other but did become Facebook friends once the camp was over. Fun Fact! Tyler's dad Darryl was the dean of the camp! 6 years passed and Tyler finally had the guts to talk to Danielle. He sent her a Facebook message and the rest is history. They commuted back and forth every weekend for over a year because Danielle lived in Bowling Green, KY. Danielle finally made the move to Louisville in September of 2016 and the two have been happily living together ever since. The couple welcomed a new fur baby (Shia LaRuff) last December and are completely obsessed.
Tyler and Dani's engagement was an incredible adventure from the very beginning. Tyler and Danielle had planned a trip to Scotland and Tyler had planned to propose to Danielle and had even hired a Scottish photographer to hide and capture the moment. During the flight, Scotland got hit by the largest winter storm in the past 20 years. The whole country had completely shut down. Danielle and Tyler had a layover in Iceland where they found out that their flight was delayed 6 hours. The photographer Tyler hired was even stuck in his town and was not going to be able to make it to the proposal. Tyler managed to find a SECOND photographer that could capture the moment. After the 6 hours the flight ultimately got canceled. The airports and cities in Scotland we all shut down. Danielle and Tyler decided not to waste anymore time in airports and just stay in Iceland. They rented a car and played everything by ear. They drove south and explored the amazing country. Waterfalls, glaciers, mountains, plane wrecks and black sand beaches. The trip was amazing. They slept in hostels and little BNB's that they found on the way. They met up with Icelandic photographers who showed them some amazing secret spots. It was cold and very windy but other than that the weather was amazing! On the last full day there during sunset at the base of Vestrahorn Mountain Tyler asked Dani to marry him! (See below) Everything turned out better than they both could have imagined and it made their proposal that much more special.
