Odessa is 58 minutes from Philadelphia if you become bored with the lovely country side and would like to make a day trip.
Wilmington Delaware is 30 minutes from Odessa and has plenty of retail, restaurants, and history to provide entertainment.
Odessa, Delaware is the ancestral home of the Corbit family, the maternal branch of the Reese-Pryor family which is the maternal family of the Bride. If you’re struck with an interest, the foundation provides historic tours- and you are welcome to walk the grounds. There is also a Tavern with excellent food that is a part of the foundation.
If you’re tired of hearing about family history, there are dozens of parks in the area, both historic and recreational. There are some quaint little theme parks like Funland. State parks and Estate museums... You can hike, have a picnic, or learn about someone else’s family. Like the DuPonts. They’re from Delaware. It isn’t a particularly large state, so everything is in driving distance! :)
