They met on a silly dating app called Hinge. Josh was a sweetheart and cooked Stazie a homemade Cheescake Factory dish. After a few weeks of going out Josh asked Stazie to be his girl. She wanted to but was hesitant. She asked to get to know him and his family more. This didn’t stop Josh. The next week Stazie was at a family dinner, and when her car broke down right before a week long trip to Idaho, Josh gave her his car so she would make it there safely! It was on that trip to Idaho that Stazie realized Josh wasn’t here to mess around. He really cared for her. She also realized she was missing him on this trip. So on Sunday night July 29th, 2024 she called him up to tell him yes to being his girl. Ever since then the two have been inseparable. The couple had almost the whole wedding planned (dress, venue, photographer, honeymoon… bought) before his knee ever hit the ground. Marriage isn’t meant to be easy, but these two have found a partnership that is ready to take on every high and every low, together.
Stazie knew it was coming. They did the whole engagement thing backwards. Everything was already planned and paid for, all that was left was for the ring to go on her finger. It got to a point that she made him promise he would propose that week. Sunday rolled around and there was still no rock on the finger, so she knew it was going down that night. Josh picked her up for a “family dinner” and on their way Josh confidently missed the usual exit. Stazie pointed that out, and Josh played it off acting like he had in fact missed it. He plugged in an address on google maps and got off on the next exit. They started winding their way through neighborhoods and backroads, which caused Stazie to diss on his choice of Google Maps “this is why we don’t use Google Maps, it has no idea what it’s doing.” Josh chuckled to himself, and played along with the bit. Stazie turned on their song Before You by Benson Boone, right as Josh pulled into a park parking lot. That’s when it hit Stazie, this was the moment. She started crying and freaking out. Josh was a gentleman and let her compose herself before they made a walk across the snow to a rose petal covered bridge lined with candles. When they crossed the bridge there was a canopy lit by a fire place and bright letters that spelled out “marry me” Josh got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Stazie didn’t let him stay down for very long. The were hugging and laughing so much they almost forgot to put the ring on. 2 of Josh’s brothers and their families came out from hiding to celebrate with them. (they were the ones who put everything together).
