Some love stories begin with fireworks. Ours began with pancakes. In the summer of 2017, we both thought we were just picking up a simple summer job at a little breakfast spot called Cranberry Café—a tiny place in Lavallette that would only exist for that one season. What we didn’t know then was that this small café, open for just a moment in time, would change our lives forever. Between coffee orders and morning rushes, something started to grow. A friendship. A spark. A feeling that neither of us could quite name yet. By the time the summer sun began to fade, we realized that what we found in that little café was the beginning of everything. From there, our story became a beautiful blur of late-night study sessions, long drives between Stockton University dorm rooms and NJIT ice hockey games, and cheering each other on through every exam, every challenge, every milestone. We celebrated our graduations side by side, stepped into our careers with excitement, and built a life filled with laughter, support, and the kind of love that makes even the busiest days feel light. Now, nearly nine years later—on the day before our wedding—we’ll celebrate almost a decade of choosing each other, every single day. On our wedding day, we get to choose each other forever.
