Wedding Party

Some of our favorite people from all chapters of our lives that we feel lucky to have stand by our side.

Kara

Maid of Honor

Older sister of the bride. Dog whisperer. Angel on this earth. Known for boosting the bride’s ego by laughing at all of her jokes, Kara is the type of person you want in your circle. She will have your back and cheer you on through all of life’s ups and downs. From childhood recordings of their made up news show called 6 1/2 news that they still quote today, to playing sports together all their lives and being known as KStauff squared in high school when Kara would clear the ball as the goalie in varsity lacrosse the entire length of the field to Kelly who caught it (almost) every time, to now sending photos and updates nonstop of their fur babies and virtually watching the Buffalo Bills stress them out every football season, Kara has and always will be more than just her sister; Kara is her best friend. On the wedding day, you will find her running around taking care of her little sister and keeping her looking FOINE. If you can’t find her, she will most likely be holding the bride’s dress while she pees. Oh and Go Bills.

Marcus

Best Man

One of the closest friends a groom can have. Being college roommates made being life roommates an easy decision. Marcus will help you hide a dead body and not ask any questions. There are tons of memories to look back on including playing games like Battleblock Theater, Super Smash Bros. and Battlefield in college, passing out in our tent at Mike’s graduation party even though our pillows and blankets were wet from rain, and getting turned into lobsters because we didn’t have sunscreen while at a water park while visiting our college roommate. Honestly, I don’t know where I would be if we didn’t move to Norwalk together and it’s possible that I never would have met Kelly if not for that. Thanks for being my rock for so long homie.

Lauren

Bridesmaid

Best friend of the bride. Randomly matched as Kelly’s roommate freshman year of college. Survivor of living with the bride for 4 years. Not many people can share a small studio apartment on the Upper East Side in NYC for years and still like each other. And thank god for that because Kelly doesn’t know what she would do without Lauren. From THE shared booty heels, to bad date rescue missions (mainly from Kelly’s poor decisions), to endless roadtrips and sleep walking stories, she has seen the bride at her best and at her worst and has always been a constant. Lauren is family and is stuck with Kelly for life. Kelly can’t wait to go through more of life’s biggest moments with Lauren by her side and to be Colin’s favorite aunt. You will find her dancing nonstop on the dance floor the minute the music gets pumping doing all of Kelly’s ridiculous college night out dance moves.

Nick M.

Groomsman

Nick belongs to a larger group of friends that has turned into a family for me. Nick in particular is the wise guy who will give you a hard time but when it’s time to say goodbye will bear hug the life out of you. He’s incredibly loyal and will always lend an ear when you need to rant. Growing up, you might not suspect him to be very fatherly however he has recently embraced the role and is thriving despite what he might tell you. Some of my fondest memories with Nick include blasting Dubstep in his minivan while on the way to Dairy Queen for a blizzard, taking said minivan down to Six Flags in NJ for the day, Nick getting pulled over in the same minivan for speeding while visiting me at college, and being apart of his and his wife’s wedding day.

Kady

Bridesmaid

Hometown best friend. Keeper of the bride’s weirdest secrets. A constant companion no matter the distance. Kelly had the pleasure of finding friendship with Kady in middle school chorus. Things have been weird ever since. If you can survive the childhood years together, you can do anything. The number of sleepovers and movie marathons they have had can’t even be counted, but it led to Kelly making the Joy house a second home. So much so that Mama and Papa Joy are her second parents. Many people have come and gone over the years since life in Smellington but Kady has a dropped anchor in Kelly’s life, easily lifting it to follow her wherever life takes her. On the wedding day, you will find her holding the bride every chance she gets.

Brian

Groomsman

My drift compatible soulmate and one of the longest and most consistent friendships I have experienced. He is an angel of a human being and I can’t think of a single person who would disagree. Brian will completely stop what he’s doing to help a friend. We’ve had plenty of heart to heart conversations that start in the dead of night and go on into the AM. Brian’s childhood home was frequently the hub of our group of friends and where we were likely to end up on a weekend night. Memories include tailgating the premiere of Captain America: First Avenger, questioning why I used such a random fraction of 1/7th and making me choke on my milk and being the DM for our first Dungeons and Dragons session and mercilessly killing Nick’s character.

Olivia

Bridesmaid

College bestie. Supporter of dreams. A beautiful swan. Olivia came into the bride’s life in freshman year of college and has had her laughing nonstop since. What happens when you put two unlucky people together? Well, you get the chaos of Kelly and Olivia. Being Kelly’s companion on her first ever plane trip across the country for a spur of the moment friend trip to LA, Olivia keeps things exciting, especially when she is the one giving directions in the car. Kelly is endlessly grateful for the genuine and supportive forever friendship she has with Liv. You will find her in the zone on the dance floor the whole night making sure Kelly is dancing the night away and quoting all of their inside jokes.

Kyle

Groomsman

What started out as being friends in our high school classes and briefly teaching me to play bass guitar has morphed into another fiercely loyal friendship. Kyle likes to poke and prod but always with a lighthearted tone. He is a consistent source of new music and will nerd out with you endlessly. Within our group of friends, I believe he was the one that was looked at as likely to be the best dad and having helped introduce twins into the world, has held true. I think we would both agree that one of our fondest memories was “IT WAS JUST DIRT”. If you know, you know.

Ryan

Bridesman

College bestie. Giver of the warmest hugs. The boy on the 8th floor. Ryan met the bride freshman year of college through Lauren. Kelly would not have survived that year without Ryan’s open arms, open heart, and open door. He is a soul friend and his smile can cure broken hearts. As they have gotten older, Kelly and Ryan have made even stronger connections, the biggest and most recent being OrangeTheory. Did you know they go to OTF? Yeah, they do. They’ll remind you every time though so don’t worry. Kelly is honored to grow alongside Ryan and is so proud to see how far life has taken him. On the wedding day, you can find Ryan by following his voice as he will be belting songs and using his musical theatre degree as well as using his muscles from OTF to dance the night away. Endurance, strength, power! There will never be a dull moment, he will make sure of that.

Eddie

Groomsman

Eddie Spaghetti, part of the COVID crew. When the world shut down due to COVID and everyone was forced to stay inside, I could not think of a better person to share a living space with during that bleak time than Eddie. Eddie brightens every room he enters and does not tend to dwell on negative thoughts. I very much enjoyed seeing him start out his love of balloon twisting which completely counterbalanced the dreariness of quarantine. Playing darts with our 3rd roommate Tim in our basement, going to the beach in Norwalk, and learning how to drive manual are some of my favorite memories with Eddie.

Liz

Bridesmaid

Twin flame. Lover of SKZ, books, and Baldur’s Gate. The bride’s obsession. Liz met Kelly on Bumble BFF, proving that some of the greatest people we meet can come from the internet. If the bride goes hours without talking to Liz, she feels empty inside. Liz is Kelly’s favorite person to obsess with things over as she is just as intense as Kelly is. Kelly can’t imagine a life without Liz and is #clingy. She feels like she has known Liz her whole life and can’t believe she went this long without her. Every time they are together, they are quite literally on the floor laughing. Kelly doesn’t feel satisfied unless she makes Liz laugh so hard that she feels like she’s going to throw up or pee her pants. On the wedding day, you will find Liz requesting SKZ to the DJ all night and dancing with Kelly nonstop with a stank face.

Mike

Groomsman

Mike is quite the friend and I mean that in the best way possible. When I moved into my 4 year school, away from my typical group of friends, Mike was the first person I became close with up in cold and windy Utica, NY. What was also neat was having our hometowns be right around 45 mins away from each other which meant when it was time to go home for break, we could carpool. This turned a 3 hour drive into a seemingly 30 minute drive with the stories we told each other. Eventually this friendship led to Mike introducing me to Marcus and the rest is history. Mike is another loyal and dedicated friend and is essentially a younger brother to me. Every day we roomed together in college is its own separate memory. He made living away from my family, friends and hometown much easier.

Tara

Bridesmaid

Soul best friend. Protector of hearts. The bride’s ride or die and finder of the funniest insta posts. Tara met Kelly on bumble BFF where things clicked instantly. Tara is the most genuine person the bride has ever known and can’t believe she gets to have someone like that by her side through thick and thin. If the bride called Tara and asked her for help, Tara would already be in her car on the way without a question before they even hung up. Built on strength and running on coffee, Tara is a beast. Kelly and Tara are often at a coffee shop losing track of time. Somehow they talk about everything yet they leave feeling like they hardly touched upon what they intended to. Time spent with Tara is NEVER long enough. On the wedding day, you will find Tara as the bride’s secret service and bodyguard to guard her from anything that could ruin her peace. Oh, and on the dance floor of course.

Nick L.

Groomsman

I wish I interacted with Nick more in high school. We were introduced afterwards when we were both starting out at our 2 year college. Nick is an endless font of knowledge, especially for obscure pop culture. I truly admire his DIY attitude, dependability, and ability to view situations from all angles. Being one of my friends at the time that had a garage, he offered to help store winter tires for me as well as helping me change out brakes on my car. Some fond memories with Nick include having our “Nostalgia Day” of watching old tv shows and playing old games from our childhood and trying his szechuan pepper infused vodka. I would highly recommend the former, I would not recommend the latter.

Alexa

Bridesmaid

Future sister in law of the bride. Aspiring writer. Lover of cats. Alexa first met the bride in a moment of family coming together. Kelly found friendship and similarities with their love for reading and games. Kelly is so excited to be able to have another sister in her life. On the wedding day, you will find Alexa being supportive and helping the bride get the groom to dance.

Chris

Groomsman

The longest tenured friend among my groomsmen. Chris tends to be a closed book but that’s ok because when he opens up, he is one of the most fun people to be around. His infectious laugh, unmatched comedic timing, and ability to know when to be serious, coupled with his wisdom beyond his years, make him truly remarkable. Memories with Chris include crowding around his smartphone in high school because no one else had one, helping shoot the Flyboys project for his class in his backyard, having my first drink at 21 with him, 1v1ing each other on Guardian and pretending to be high ranked clan members in Halo 3.
