Stasi and Chandler first met at a concert while Stasi was taking photos. A group of mutual friends brought them into the same conversation, and one good joke was all it took. Their first date was at a bar in Uptown Chicago, a place that is sadly no longer there but will always be part of their story. From that night on, they never stopped finding reasons to be together, and hanging out quickly turned into something much more.

The Christkindl Market in Chicago has always been special to Stasi and Chandler. It was a place they returned to year after year, and in 2017, it was even where Stasi first got to know Chandler’s mom, Leslie. Over time, the market became woven into their story even more when Stasi began working there, turning it into a meaningful part of their everyday lives. One evening after dinner in the city, Stasi mentioned that someone at the market needed him. Hoping for nothing more than a late night hot chocolate, Chandler happily went along. What she didn’t know was that Stasi had transformed the timber house into something magical, lining it with candlelight and playing their song. As the moment settled in, the surprise continued when Chandler’s family and friends appeared to celebrate with them, turning an already unforgettable night into something truly magical.

Stasi and Chandler still live in Chicago with their two beloved cats, Paul and Ruby. They love traveling together, seeing movies, and going to concerts. When they’re home, they’re happiest spending time side by side. Stasi games with friends, while Chandler enjoys reading. They will be celebrating nine years together in 2026!
