Maid of Honor
Natalie has been Stasi's best friend from the moment they met on the first day of 2nd grade. Natalie introduced herself, took Stasi under her extroverted wing, showed her the ways of public school, and they have been inseparable ever since. From matching outfits as kids, to matching uniforms at SnS, to renovating their houses and getting their dogs together for puppy playdates, they have been through just about every stage of life together. Even though they didn't get to go to the same high school and Stasi moved around a lot after high school, they have remained inseparable. This next phase of life is incredibly exciting and Stasi feels so fortunate to have her best friend to help her walk down the aisle.
Sam Barlow
Best Man
Sam and Brock became close friends in junior high, bonding over their interests in Super Smash Bros and Super Mario World. Throughout high school, they drove to school together, shared many of the same classes, and played daily mediocre 1v1 basketball after school. After high school Sam and Brock stayed in touch with occasional adventures like backpacking, kayaking, and climbing, and even though school and work have taken Sam all over the country, they still find the opportunity to get together around Christmas every year. Sam is brilliant, kind, and possesses a level of conviction that is admirable, and Brock is so glad to have him in his corner to share this milestone in his life.
Ari Mira Violet Chloe & Eliza
Flower Girl
Ari, Mira, Violet, Chloe, and Eliza are just 5 of Brock and Stasi's nieces. They are very excited to be an entire bouquet of flower girls! These girls are a bright light in the humdrum of everyday life. They each consider Brock and Stasi to be a package deal. Just Stasi shows up..."Where's Brock?!" Just Brock shows up..."Where's Stasi?!" They will be the perfect group to lead Stasi down the aisle so the Brock and Stasi package can be complete.
Cary & Clark
Ring Bearer
Cary & Clark are two of Brock and Stasi's nephews and they will be "ring security" on the big day. Once, when Stasi asked Cary who his favorite aunt was, Cary proudly stated "Brock!". This is a sore spot for Stasi as she loves being the favorite aunt, and Brock isn't even an aunt! Clark probably agrees that Brock is his favorite though - after all, Brock is better at Mario (and all other video games). That's okay! Cary will use his soccer skills and Clark his gaming skills to keep the rings safe and make sure their favorite *aunt* gets married!
Valerie Myers-Christensen
Officiant
Valerie is one of Stasi's sisters and has been a supportive influence throughout Brock and Stasi's relationship. Brock and Stasi both consider Val to be someone to look up to. For Stasi, that love and connection started when they shared a room growing up. Stasi would fall asleep listening to Val practice her viola and admiring her dedication. Sharing a room wasn't always easy but they both survived and are closer for it! Brock met Val much later (obviously) but immediately recognized her generosity and coordination skills. Val has opened her home to Brock and Stasi on multiple occasions while they have traveled. She can offer great life advice - from brewery recommendations to homeownership to relationships and more! She is a wonderful person to talk to, and we are so lucky to know her AND that she agreed to officiate our wedding!
