Great place for breakfast. If you are looking for some blueberry pancakes with blueberry syrup this is your place. $

Little Deer Café

Great place to get coffee. For those who are coffee lovers this is the place. They offer great food and sweets. It good for breakfast too.

Old Hampton Store & Barbeque

Great BBQ for those who want good old casual dining for a meal. A family favorite for years and loved throughout our Wilson family childhood and still is. It has grown a lot as you will see. They have a great bar with local beer on tap. It has a great atmosphere and often has live music. $

Recommended restaurant on 105. if you're looking to have dinner before the welcome party. $$

Artisanal Restaurant

Really great food I will have to give it an A+. They do an outstanding job on a vegan meal too ++. The owners are great and they get an on farm to table for vegan food and others too. You could even just go there to sit by the creek out on there poach for a drink. Make sure to get a reservation. $$$$

Reid's Cafe

Lunch and dinner place at Tynecastle. It looks like they have a great lunch and we would go if we where not vegans, lol. $

Painted Fish Cafe and Beer Bar

More casual and simple food if you are looking for a come as you are place. $$

Kindly Kitchen

Great little local and organic restaurant. If you looking for some great vegan food. It is definitely worth the drive. Yum Yum!

Grandfather Vineyard & Winery

It is also right down the road. Plus it has a creek running next to the vineyard. It's great to sit there and have a glass of wine. They have beer too 👍🏻.

Linville Falls Winery

Great wine there. The blueberry and blackberry is excellent.

Appalachian Mountain Brewery

Lots of beer and cider to choose from. All really good.

Booneshine Brewing Company

Small tasting area, great beer.

Grandfather Mountain

A lot to do-check the website. There's a small zoo where you can see black bear (or if you're lucky maybe see them walking around Linville :). They also have a lot of trails for hiking too. The fun thing might be to cross the mile high swinging bridge see the 360 degree view.

Linville Caverns

An easy little trip. It takes about 30 minutes to go thru and it is always easy to get in. Tours run about every 15 minutes. It can still be a fun activity on a rainy day.

Little ways down but does have a good park and walking area.

Linn Cove Viaduct

This just fun to drive and see the views of mountains. It has great view. Shout out to daddy Wilson who work on building it.
