How We Met!

We met on the platform at Valley Stream Train Station on the drunkest day of the year - St. Patrick's Day! It was 2012 and we were meeting up with friends of friends and never really made it to the parade. We were total strangers but spent the train ride to Manhattan and back, being awkward and making small talk. Most importantly, we realized that we shared a mutual heartbreak over the New York Mets and we were nowhere near as drunk as everyone else in the group. We left the city shortly after we arrived, and went to our friend's house instead. While everyone rallied to keep the party going through the night, we sat by the fire pit and talked for hours. We soon discovered that we had a ton of things in common and for years we'd been running around similar circles, shared a bunch of mutual friends and even some of our family members knew each other! We'd spend a year talking on and off, during Alex's commute to work or Chelsea's breaks in between classes but it wasn't until May 8th, 2013 ( at a Met Game! ) that we'd officially become a couple - and the rest is history!
