He asked me about my favorite anime, probably because my username is Evangeline—like the anime *Neon Genesis Evangelion*, which he totally mistook for my favorite. Classic mix-up! After some small talk, I ghosted him—thanks, but no thanks! Weeks later, with some serious peer pressure from my friend Gloria, we decided to meet up at NorthGate Mall. I thought Enley lived in Durham, but nope! He drove an hour just to see me. Talk about dedication! I chatted away like I was auditioning for a talk show, while Enley barely said a word. When he dropped me off, Gloria asked how it went, and I was like, “I guess he likes me? He didn’t say much!” Then came our first official date!
