Matt & I met at a friend's house in 2012, just hanging out together. We went to the same church, the same school, the same athletic functions and finally traded phone numbers & started talking. February 2, 2013 there was a morning power lifting meet that Matt was helping with & I went to watch. He asked me if I was going over to a mutual friend's house later that night to hangout. I said yes! That night he asked me to be his girlfriend while we sat in the middle of a field with our friends. We've been inseparable since.

I started college in 2016 at MCC, Matt started college in 2017 at Texas State, San Marcos. After spending a lot of time on the weekends at Texas State, making so many new friends, I decided to make the move in 2018. Moving to San Marcos really felt like a big step in our relationship, We felt so grown up! We played around with the idea of getting married after we both graduated from college. It felt as if it was so far away, but time goes by so fast. Before we knew it we were planning a trip to New Mexico with our best friends for a New Year's celebration and that is when he proposed! We both graduate this year. Matt will graduate with his Bachelors in Criminal Justice and I will graduate with my bachelors in Human Development. We can’t wait to start this new chapter in our life, together as a married couple!
