We are so excited to celebrate our wedding with all of our friends and family!
11.15.19 I was having a girl’s night out in downtown Ocean Springs with two of my high school best friends the night Will and I met. My friends and I started at our go-to spot, Mosaics. Shortly into our conversation, we made a pact that we would not be visiting another local favorite, Glory Bound. Although it is always a fun time, Glory Bound is the place you visit and end up running into everyone you know. We just wanted a relaxing night of catching up! However, a couple of sangrias later, we were making our way down the block to Glory Bound. I quickly noticed Will when we walked in. He was sitting at a table with a friend and wearing a Carhartt jacket. Somehow my friends managed to get the two boys to come sit with us. Will sat next to me, and I guess I can say the rest is history! Turns out it was Will’s first weekend out after being stationed at the Navy base in Gulfport and moving to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Here’s to drunken pacts you don’t keep and nights out with your friends!
The spring of 2022 was a hectic one for Alli & I. We made the move from the Mississippi Coast to Eastern North Carolina. We spent the majority of April, May, and June as Nomads couch-surfing the nation and enjoying the company of friends and family. By the time June came around, my travels had ended, and I was able to start settling down in our new apartment. On the contrary, Alli’s fully booked summer was just beginning, and she was preparing to head off to Radically Against Dystrophy summer camp as a counselor. Having spent almost every day together since the start of that year, this was my chance to make my move. Unbeknownst to Alli, once she was off to camp, I headed westbound across the state to a highly recommended jeweler and picked out THE RING. The only catch was I had a one-week deadline to meet! The jeweler made me very aware of the absurdity of the request, but none the less he assured me he would make it happen. Fast forward to the end of the week and the start of July 4th weekend; Alli’s camp had ended, and she was headed back to Ocean Springs. I purchased my plane ticket and was scheduled to land the same day she was to arrive – the whole engagement was resting on the FedEx Priority Overnight package containing THE RING! Thankfully, it was delivered on time without delay! With everything finally set in place, July 3rd would be the date! The morning started off with us hanging out at Alli’s friend’s house and me avoiding any conversation with her friends that might lead to classified plans being disclosed. Later that afternoon we made our way to Half Shell (details on the things to do page…highly recommend!) where I had to force feed myself to battle my nerves. Post dinner we made our way to Front Beach in Ocean Springs where everything was about to go down. With Alli’s mom staged in the bushes somewhere, we started to walk down the beach. Then it happened – on the Front Beach pier I dropped down on one knee, pulled out the ring, forgot everything I planned on saying, and SHE SAID YES.
