On a cold winter day in January of 2016, Emma and Rachel were planning an evening with a bunch of friends. Little did Emma know that Rachel was planning to set Emma up with a cute boy named Kyle. The two hit it off and chatted the entire night, Emma ended up asking Kyle for his number. The two wanted to hang out again soon but Kyle was super involved in wrestling. Shortly after meeting each other Kyle suffered a serious injury and was hospitalized ending his wrestling career. Once Kyle regained his strength, Rachel yet again forced Emma to hang out with Kyle. For the second time they both hit things off. Kyle ended up kissing Emma that night and everyday since then have been inseperable...as they say the rest is history.

Kyle planned a weekend getaway for Emma and himself. He had been acting rather secretive leading up to the mini vacation and Emma thought he was mad at her or something was bothering him. After reassuring her multiple times he wasn't, she started to let it go. While the two were unpacking their bags, Emma was helping Kyle with his bag when she opened a pocket Kyle said "not that one!", she stopped unpacking. Emma had already been thinking he would pop the question, but after the bag incident she thought he wouldn't do it anymore. The following day the two went hiking to Cave Point, visited a winery and would end their evening at Gordon's Lodge. Kyle grew up going to Door County each year and Gordon's Lodge had always been one of his favorite places. After a silent car ride to dinner, Kyle pulled Emma right up to the lake and looked Emma in the eyes and started his speech..."Emma, you know we have been together for a long time.." he could barely finish his sentence when Emma squealed "OH MY GOSH you're going to do it" and burst into tears. Kyle told Emma he loved her and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her and got down on one knee and pulled the beautiful ring from his back pocket. Obviously, she said YES!
