The Stapletons

Our story is quite a roller coaster. We met in middle school and did theater together. We were in the same plays, but got really close during Willy Wonka. I was Veruca Salt and Logan was her dad. We often were in scenes together and became good friends. They went down the squirrel shoot in their ending adventure, so I would ask for Logan’s nuts for the rest of the school year (cue the middle school maturity) and he would surprisingly always have it. We continued to be friends in high school. We had physics together and would talk every now and then. Towards the end of high school, we worked together at Target. It wasn’t until the summer before college that Logan asked me out for my birthday. We went to Slick’s and walked around Downtown. I had no idea if it was ever considered a date and left for college shortly after that. During college, we would catch up a few times a year. It wasn’t until after college graduation, that I would see Logan’s name pop up on my phone asking how I was doing. Logan left for Arkansas and I was teaching in Dayton. We would talk pretty often at this point and I developed a small crush but knew we were in two different phases of life and also two different states. After Logan came back home, he would often ask me to do something. (He even asked to go with me to get my first tattoo- I said no) It took me a bit to come around, but we eventually hung out. Never really talking about if this was all as friends or more. After two months of hanging out as friends, we finally addressed that this was more than friends. Logan admitted to having a crush on me since middle school. Ever since then, we have been inseparable. We moved in together after 9 months of dating. Logan proposed in December after we celebrated our one year. There have been a lot of ups and downs, but there is no one in this world that I love more. We are so excited for this new chapter together. We know that regardless of what happens in life, we will always have each other.
