♥ We're getting married! ♥

Stanley and Shae started talking on facebook date and decided to go on their first date. They had their first date on February 10th, 2023 at McKenzie River Pizza. The bride and groom were both very nervous and excited to meet one another that night for the first time. Shae had gotten a table at the restaurant and awaited Stanley’s arrival. Stanley was running a gym clock for his youngest brother’s basketball game that night and was fashionably late their date. Once he had arrived and saw Shae for the first time in person, he was awestruck. Stanley joined her at the table and that is where their love story began. They stayed past closing that night lost in conversation with each other. They had realized the time and that they should leave; He had walked her to her car and they hugged goodnight. Her then told her that he would be leaving for two weeks to go see his sister and would love to go on a second date once he gets back. So, they made a deal to go on a second date when he gets back and that they would keep texting in the meantime. That is the story of how our bride and groom met…

When Shae and Stanley started dating in 2023, they had talked about going camping up avalanche on memorial weekend. He told her it’s a tradition of his to go camping up there every year for that weekend. She agreed since she had never been; It is now both the favorite place to go together and now have many fond memories there. When Stanley started opening up about wanting to know what Shae truly wanted for her ideal engagement proposal, she had told him that she wanted him to do it up avalanche where they had so many adventures already. She said “Avalanche feels like our safe place. Somewhere we can go and just be free for a while. It’s beautiful, peaceful, and away from the realities of life”. So Stanley decided memorial weekend of 2024, he was going to ask Shae to be his wife. He had told very few people of his plan due to not wanting her to think something was going on and he was nervous about proposing to her. They spent the first 24 hours camping alone. They had fun enjoying the scenery, going for a drive, hunting for fire wood, and waiting on more people to show up. The second night, they were joined by some of stanley’s family and one of his old pals and their daughter. They enjoined good company and a campfire in the great outdoors. On the third day, he decided it was now or never. While Shae was distracted by the warmth of the campfire, he was going to make his move. He went to go check on her by the campfire. He had asked her one last time if he was going to ask her to marry him, if she would want it to be at Avalanche surrounded by the wilderness and loved ones. As he asked that, he knelt to the ground and stated “Well then, Shae Lynn Russell, will you marry me?” She then started crying and said yes! He was shaking so bad, that he gave her the whole ring box and then she put on her new ring. She is excited to be future Mrs. Munson 2025!
