We are extremely close and she is always there for me when I need her. Now that we are both adults, and we have outgrown playing house with her as my 'baby', we have an inseparable bond.

My Person. I met Carol as a freshman in college and we became almost inseparable from the start. She is one of the strongest women I have ever met and truly has had such a deep impact on my life in so many ways. She has always been there to encourage, support, and even guide me when I needed it. There is no one like her and I would not be the same person today if I had not met her!

My little sister will always be my very first best friend, basically born into the role. Her care-free and wild spirit has always pushed me to strive to be more care-free and open myself. She is kind, passionate, gives so much of herself, and has always inspired me to find and follow my passions. She is also always the first one to remind you to take a breather and 'chill', making her our official 'Chill of Honor' for the wedding.

One of my best friends from college, I met Marisa at EMU and spent large quantities of time working with her through most of my time and involvements there, even being dubbed 'the two most powerful leading ladies on campus' by some, as a great President/VP duo representing residents on campus. Marisa is one of the funniest people I've ever met, and just as supportive. We often joke that we share a brain because we are always on the same page. If there was anyone I'd want to have a reality show with, it would be her because you never have a boring moment if you are with Marisa!

Moving to a new school in 3rd grade is hard, but Aleisha was the first person to make it easier becoming my first friend in a new place. We became fast friends and have been through the ups and downs of each phase of our lives together, elementary through high school, college, and even planning our weddings and getting married within the same year!

I met Sarah at that awkward, working at Subway, in-between figuring out what to do with my life period and we became fast friends. We were further bonded over our love of cats (and dogs!), sushi, MFM, to name a few. Having someone who could relate to get through that in-between time was crucial for me, and I relied so much on Sarah's strength, humor, and friendship to get through it!

Veronica and I went to high school together, but really became closer friends after graduating! We bonded very quickly over our love (obsession?) of all things Disney! Very few people match my intense feelings for Disney, but she is certainly one of them. She also seems to always be reading a small library of books at once, and gives the best recommendations!

Not only is she a friend, but she is the one who introduced me to some pivotal opportunities in my freshman year at EMU-which led me to so many amazing experiences and immense fulfillment and joy. Because of that, I can also call her my sister, as we were bonded through our Sorority as well, with her being my 'honorary' Big Sister. Throughout all of the ups and downs, we are always there for each other offering full support and love along the way. My life wouldn't be the same without her!

Hunter has been Walker's best friend for 25+ years. I was his best man at his wedding and know he is the best man at mine. We met through a mutual acquaintance in the early 90's and we have gotten along ever since.

Growing up, we always followed his example and copied almost everything he did. It's no surprise that I chose to go to Western and follow in my big brother's footsteps.

Ian and I have been friends since elementary school, we ran track together in middle school and played football together from 7th to 12th grade. After high school, we ended up going to Western Michigan together. He has been my friend the longest (outside my brothers) and we continue to stay close to this day!
