FAQs

The Wedding Website of Kayla Lauren Stanley and Michael William Gathright
Question

Where is the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will take place at 1:00 PM at St. Mary’s Parish in Downtown Annapolis.

Question

Where is the reception?

Answer

The reception will begin at 4:00 PM at the Annapolis Maritime Museum – Park Campus, an open-air waterfront venue. It is approximately a 10 minute drive from the church. Note: There are two Annapolis Maritime Museum locations — please be sure to search for “Park Campus” (7300 Edgewood Road). Parking is limited, so carpooling and rideshare are recommended.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is springtime formal attire. Elegant fabrics, polished looks, and soft spring colors are encouraged. Dresses may be up to tea length if styled formally. Floral patterns on subtle white backgrounds are welcome, and timeless black attire is also appropriate. The ceremony will be held in a Catholic church, followed by an outdoor waterfront reception. Consider a light layer for the evening air and shoes suited for grass and decking.

Question

Can I take photos?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photos or videos during the ceremony so that everyone can be fully present. Our professional photographer will capture all the important moments for us to cherish and share. During the reception, you're welcome to take your own photos! Please just be courteous of the photographer and try not to block their shots. There will be a QR code for you to upload any favorites to our shared album!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Guests should arrive 15–20 minutes before the ceremony begins at 1:00 PM to allow time for seating.

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

Parking at Saint Mary’s is permitted during the rehearsal and wedding, but not during the welcome dinner or wedding reception. For the welcome dinner, we recommend parking at the Hillman Garage or finding street parking nearby. Parking at the reception venue is more limited, so we encourage carpooling or using rideshare when possible.

Question

What's on the menu?

Answer

A buffet-style dinner from Mission BBQ will be served at the reception, along with beer, wine, and specialty cocktails.

Question

What should I do before the reception?

Answer

After the 1:00 PM ceremony, there will be a two-hour break before the 4:00 PM reception. Guests are encouraged to explore Downtown Annapolis. There are plenty of shops, cafés, and waterfront spots to enjoy! Note: The bridal party and close family will remain after the ceremony for portraits.

Question

Who should I contact if I have questions?
