LET'S CELEBRATE!

Andrew and Sidney both went to St. Croix Prep in high School Stillwater, Minnesota. Andrew came to SCPA in 9th grade, Sidney came in 2nd grade. They didn't really know each other well, but they had some mutual friends. In 10th grade, a mutual friend of Andrew and Sidney's encouraged Andrew to ask Sidney to the homecoming dance. Andrew then asked Sidney's friend if Sidney would come with him, Sidney and her friend talked about it, and then Sidney's friend told Andrew she would go. Then came the day of the dance. All their friends were there, but Sidney. Andrew was there waiting for Sidney to show up, but she was nowhere to be found. He then asked their friend if she was coming, and he told him she was grounded. Sidney stood Andrew up at a 10-grade dance! Sidney left SCPA after 10th grade to purse college classes while being home-schooled. Even though Sidney was not attending SCPA anymore, she still stayed connected with friends there. Sidney was invited to a friend's 18th birthday party around thanksgiving time, where it just so happened that Andrew was invited too. Sidney wasn’t very interested at first, but it must have been the light around the campfire that drew them together. Their first date following the party, was December 13th, 2016 at Trollhaugen ski resort. Fun fact: They got married exactly 1 day after our 3 year dating anniversary!

On Sunday the 1st, the day before labor day Andrew came over to Sidney's place early in the morning to make breakfast with her. They ate delicious french toast and decided to go for a hike at Hoffman hills park in Menomonie, WI. Sidney was not expecting a proposal until they got to the top of the fire tower and he asked her to turn around...then it sunk in as she slowly turned around to him on one knee! Then they had a full day of calling and visiting friends and family and sharing the good news!
